The Villas of Byron

Close to the historical Arts Factory precinct in Byron Bay the multi residential development was intended to provide an extraordinary experience of secluded luxury and serenity in the heart of Byron. The construction though familiar incorporates Asian influences both Balinese and Japanese with pavilion roofs, sunken gardens and plunge pools. Unique to the project is the exclusive and innovative use of waterless composting toilets, a successful and powerful ‘green’ statement. The Villas of Byron is the largest multi residential development in Australia utilising composting toilets.

The project was awarded a Commercial Merit Award in the 2005 Northern Rivers Urban Design Awards & a Commendation for Multi Residential Design in the 2006 RAIA NSW Country Division Awards
